Resin Terrazzo has been successfully used in the new Jerwood Gallery, a £4m project on the seafront in Hastings.
Working closely with Architect Hana Loftus of HAT Projects a number of bespoke samples were made with the final choice of pale pink for the galleries and darker pink for the toilets and cafe areas. Hana Loftus explained, “We wanted a terrazzo style floor that had a texture to it, a slight warmth and movement, something with a bit of life and we wanted completely new, bespoke colours to be created especially for this project”. A total of 400m² of Terrazzo was laid overall.
As well as the flooring, skirtings and staircase strings were also manufactured in house by ourselves and installed on this project.
Resin Terrazzo is a decorative four-part solvent free epoxy resin system, and has been hailed as a revolution in resin floor. It’s a lightweight, seamless, sophisticated marble-look resin that delivers a touch of class to public and communal areas.
